How it works

1. Activate Gilded Lotus by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Manifold Key by paying 1 and tapping it, untapping Gilded Lotus.
3. Activate Drafna's first ability by paying 1, returning Manifold Key from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Cast Manifold Key by paying 0.
5. Repeat.

By leveraging Gilded Lotus to generate a surplus of mana, Drafna, Founder of Lat-Nam and Manifold Key form a tight loop to continuously bounce and recast the Key. Because Manifold Key untaps the Lotus along the way, you easily generate the necessary mana to fund Drafna's bounce ability and keep the cycle spinning infinitely. While Ballad of the Black Flag isn't strictly required to execute the core loop, its milling and cost-reduction properties fit right into a deck built around historic synergies.
