How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Kobolds of Kher Keep
2. When Kobolds of Kher Keep dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Kobolds of Kher Keep from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
4. Cast Kobolds of Kher Keep from the top of your library by paying 0 life.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop uses Mortuary to intercept creatures heading to the graveyard and neatly return them straight to the top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless grants you the ability to cast spells right off the library while bypassing their mana costs with life payments—which costs you a cool zero life for a free 0-mana creature like Kobolds of Kher Keep. Finally, Altar of Dementia provides the sacrifice outlet needed to bin the creature and mill your opponents out in the process, turning a humble Kobold into an unstoppable, self-sustaining engine.
