How it works

1. Activate Darkheart Sliver by sacrificing it.
2. When Darkheart Sliver dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Darkheart Sliver on top of your library from your graveyard.
3. Resolve the Darkheart Sliver ability, causing you to gain 3 life.
4. Cast Darkheart Sliver from the top of your library by paying 2 life.
5. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a modest Sliver into an infinite engine by leveraging the passive graveyard manipulation of Mortuary alongside the alternative cost-paying ability granted by Gwenom, Remorseless. When you sacrifice Darkheart Sliver to its own granted ability, Mortuary immediately catches it on the way to the graveyard and stacks it right back on top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless lets you cast that very same Sliver straight off the top of your library for a mere 2 life instead of its mana cost, while the sacrifice itself rewards you with 3 life. Because you gain more life than you spend casting it, this closed loop can be repeated indefinitely to fuel an arbitrary storm count and infinite death triggers.
