How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Maulfist Squad.
2. When Maulfist Squad dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Maulfist Squad enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Goblin Bombardment ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop hinges on the duality of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, whose back face grants your other nontoken creatures persist to catch them when they fall. By sacrificing Maulfist Squad to Goblin Bombardment, you trigger its persist ability to bring it right back with a -1/-1 counter, but its fabricate 1 ability immediately counters that drawback by placing a +1/+1 counter on it to cancel out the penalty. Because the two counters annihilate each other, Maulfist Squad is left completely clean and ready to feed back into Goblin Bombardment for infinite damage and sacrificial triggers.
