How it works
Cast Idris either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 1 and commander tax, if applicable.
When Idris enters the battlefield, its imprint ability triggers, targeting Sphinx's Disciple.
Holding priority, activate Lithoform Engine's first ability by paying 2 and tapping it, copying Idris' trigger, targeting Basalt Monolith.
Resolve both Idris triggers, exiling Basalt Monolith and Sphinx's Disciple.
During your next turn, activate Idris using Basalt Monolith's first ability by tapping it, adding CCC.
Activate Idris using Basalt Monolith's second ability by paying 3, untapping it.
Sphinx's Disciple triggers, causing you to draw a card.
Repeat from step 5.
This clever combination transforms Idris, Soul of the TARDIS into an absolute engine of card draw by doubling up on its entry triggers with Lithoform Engine. By using Lithoform Engine to copy the imprint ability, Idris manages to simultaneously exile both Basalt Monolith and Sphinx's Disciple, gaining the activated mana-producing and untapping abilities of the former alongside the inspired triggered ability of the latter. Crucially, because Silverskin Armor is equipped to Sphinx's Disciple to make it a valid artifact target for the imprint, Idris seamlessly inherits all the pieces needed to loop forever. You can tap the imprinted Basalt Monolith ability for colorless mana, pay part of it to untap the monolith, and trigger Sphinx's Disciple's inspired draw ability each time it untaps—leaving you with an infinite supply of drawn cards.
