How it works

1. Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
2. When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Auton Soldier from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
3. When Auton Soldier enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Auton Soldier.
4. Resolve the Auton Soldier trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Auton Soldier from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This loop relies on an endless cycle of resurrection, using Technomancer's entrance ability to pull Auton Soldier straight from the graveyard as a fresh copy of Technomancer itself. Because Altar of Dementia lets you sacrifice that reanimated copy at instant speed in response to its own entry trigger, you can keep the loop going indefinitely without ever needing to cast another spell. Each iteration feeds the Altar of Dementia to mill your deck entirely, fueling a recursive engine where Technomancer and Auton Soldier continuously trigger one another's entry effects.
