How it works
- Cast Technomancer by paying 5.
- When Technomancer enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards and return Synth Infiltrator from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- When Synth Infiltrator enters, it triggers. Holding priority, activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Synth Infiltrator.
- Resolve the Synth Infiltrator trigger, causing you to mill three cards and return Synth Infiltrator from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Technomancer.
- Repeat from step 3.
This clever loop exploits the recursive copying power of Synth Infiltrator to establish an infinite cycle of sacrifice and rebirth. When you cast Technomancer, its entry ability pulls Synth Infiltrator back from your graveyard right into play as a fresh copy of Technomancer. Before that fresh copy's own entry trigger can even resolve, you sacrifice it to Altar of Dementia, turning its power into a cascade of milled cards. Because Synth Infiltrator continuously loops back as a new Technomancer copy that keeps replacing itself, you can repeat this process indefinitely to mill out your opponents and churn through endless sacrifice and death triggers.
