How it works

  1. Cast Esika's Chariot by paying 3G mana.
  2. When Esika's Chariot enters, it triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate a creature you control that has a +1/+1 counter on it using Kirol's ability by tapping two creatures you control, copying Esika's Chariot's trigger.
  4. Resolve the copy of Esika's Chariot's trigger, creating two 2/2 Cat creature tokens, which each enter with a +1/+1 counter on them due to Grumgully.
  5. Repeat from step 3, using one of the Cats to activate Kirol's ability, and then tapping both Cats.

This crafty loop relies on turning your battlefield into a self-replicating engine using Agatha's Soul Cauldron to gift Kirol, Attentive First-Year's activated ability to your creatures. By granting Kirol's tap ability to a creature carrying a +1/+1 counter, you can endlessly copy triggering abilities right when you need them. When you cast Esika's Chariot, its entry trigger normally makes just two Cats, but Kirol lets you copy that trigger on the spot. Because Grumgully, the Generous ensures those newly arriving Cat tokens each enter with a +1/+1 counter of their own, you immediately have the exact fresh resources needed to tap two creatures and activate Kirol again—allowing you to churn out an infinite army of entering creatures and tapped tokens.
