How it works

1. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1, which enters with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Grumgully.
2. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token that enters with a +1/+1 counter on it due to Grumgully.
3. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
4. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reluctant Role Model's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
5. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop centers around Basking Broodscale, which naturally triggers to create an Eldrazi Spawn whenever it receives a +1/+1 counter. Grumgully, the Generous ensures that both Basking Broodscale and the newly spawned tokens enter the battlefield already bearing a +1/+1 counter, which immediately kicks off Basking Broodscale's creation ability. Meanwhile, Reluctant Role Model watches from the sidelines to transfer those counters back onto Basking Broodscale whenever the sacrificed tokens die. By sacrificing the Eldrazi Spawn for colorless mana to fund your loops, you generate an endless cascade of enters-the-battlefield, death, and sacrifice triggers alongside infinite colorless mana and infinitely large creatures.
