How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Arashin Sovereign
2. When Arashin Sovereign dies, its first ability and The Master trigger.
3. Resolve the Arashin Sovereign trigger, putting it from your graveyard on top of your library.
4. Resolve the Master trigger, untapping it.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing you to mill Arashin Sovereign from your library.
6. Activate The Master by tapping it, putting Arashin Sovereign from your graveyard onto the battlefield.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop turns The Master, Transcendent into a graveyard-reanimation engine by utilizing its tap ability to repeatedly pull creatures from your mill pile. To fuel this cycle, Altar of Dementia provides the sacrifice outlet needed to dump cards into the graveyard while simultaneously milling away Arashin Sovereign whenever it is placed on top of your library. The key to sustaining the entire engine lies in Arashin Sovereign's own death trigger, which allows it to return to the library just in time to be milled over again. Though Thornbite Staff is present in the setup, the core loop relies purely on this self-sustaining mill-and-reanimate dance to generate an endless stream of triggers.
