How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Kambal triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Kambal trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Kambal trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This cunning loop turns a friendly feline into an infinite engine by leveraging cost reducers to cast spells for free. With both Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal on the battlefield, Whitemane Lion's mana cost is reduced to zero, allowing you to repeatedly cast it for just the 2 life demanded by the Defiler's additional cost. Each iteration triggers the Defiler to churn out a 1/1 white Soldier creature token, which in turn sets off Kambal, Profiteering Mayor to drain your opponents while padding your life total. Finally, when Whitemane Lion resolves and enters the battlefield, its own trigger bounces itself right back to your hand, ready to start the cycle anew.
