How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and Grand Arbiter Augustin IV.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Dazzling Angel triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Dazzling Angel trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Dazzling Angel trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble cat into an infinite army by leveraging cost reductions to cast it for free over and over again. Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and Defiler of Faith team up to entirely erase the mana cost of Whitemane Lion, allowing you to cast it repeatedly while paying life instead. Every time the Lion enters the battlefield, its own trigger forces it right back to your hand, resetting the loop. Meanwhile, Defiler of Faith cashes in on each casting to flood the board with 1/1 Soldier creature tokens, which in turn trigger Dazzling Angel to endlessly pad your life total.
