How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Thunder of Unity triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Thunder of Unity trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Thunder of Unity trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This ingenious loop relies on reducing the cost of white spells down to zero using a combination of Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal, allowing you to cast Whitemane Lion repeatedly for free at the cost of your life total. Each time the Lion enters the battlefield, it triggers its own ability to bounce itself back to your hand while simultaneously fueling the token-creation trigger of Defiler of Faith. Meanwhile, Thunder of Unity takes full advantage of this endless procession of entering creatures to drain your opponents out of the game while padding your life total.
