How it works

1. Cast Animate Dead by paying 1.
2. Animate Dead enters the battlefield, returning Kederekt Leviathan from your graveyard to the battlefield attached with Animate Dead.
3. Kederekt Leviathan triggers, returning all nonland permanents to their owner's hands.
4. Animate Dead triggers, causing you to sacrifice Kederekt Leviathan.
5. Repeat each turn.

This elegant loop relies on the constant recycling of Kederekt Leviathan to keep the board entirely clear of opposing threats. By using Animate Dead to pull the Leviathan straight from your graveyard, you trigger its devastating enter-the-battlefield ability to bounce every other nonland permanent back to its owner's hand. Because Animate Dead is forced off the battlefield when the Leviathan is sent away, the Aura's delayed trigger sacrifices the Leviathan—which conveniently returns it right back to the graveyard, ready for the next turn's recursion.
