How it works

1. Cast Torgaar either from your hand or from the command zone by paying at most 6 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. When Torgaar enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing an opponent to lose an amount of life equal to their life total minus 20.
3. At the beginning of your end step, Wound Reflection triggers, causing the opponent to lose life equal to the life they lost this turn.
4. The opponent loses the game as a state-based action due to having 0 or less life.

This brutal loop relies on orchestrating a devastating drop in an opponent's life total and doubling the aftermath to lethal levels. When you cast Torgaar, Famine Incarnate, its entrance trigger halves your chosen opponent's life total—instantly reducing them to 20 life from the standard 40 in formats like Commander. Once that damage is logged, the lingering static enchantment Wound Reflection waits for the end step, triggering to make that exact same opponent lose life equal to the total life they lost that turn. Because Torgaar's entrance reduced them by 20, Wound Reflection immediately deals an additional 20 life loss to finish them off, bypassing traditional combat entirely.
