How it works

1. Activate Pestilence by paying , dealing 1 damage to each creature and each player.
2. Sonic triggers for each creature you control with haste or flash that is dealt damage, creating that many untapped Treasure tokens due to Archelos.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
4. Repeat.

This delightfully chaotic loop relies on Pestilence to deal 1 damage to everything on the board, which immediately prompts Sonic the Hedgehog to trigger and reward your haste-enabled team by creating Treasure tokens for each one that took damage. Normally, those Treasures would enter the battlefield tapped and stall your momentum, but Archelos, Lagoon Mystic cleverly stays untapped to ensure every single Treasure arrives ready to be cracked open for black mana right away. You then use that newly generated mana to feed Pestilence all over again, fueling a continuous loop of damage, treasure-crafting, and explosive triggers until your opponents are entirely wiped out.
