How it works

This cunning engine transforms a classic board-control staple into an endless loop by leveraging Pestilence's repeatable damage to trigger Urban Daggertooth's enrage ability. Every single activation of Pestilence deals 1 damage to everything, which wakes up Urban Daggertooth to proliferate any counters already on the battlefield—including the charge counters on Gemstone Array. By spending the charge counters stored on Gemstone Array to filter into the black mana needed to pay for Pestilence, you sustain the loop indefinitely while simultaneously growing your creatures and draining your opponents out of the game.
