How it works
- Gain life.
- Spider-Man triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
- Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a creature token.
- When the creature token enters the battlefield, Auriok Champion triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
- Repeat from step 2.
This elegant synergy transforms a simple life-gain trigger into an unstoppable engine by looping a series of mutually reinforcing triggers. It all kicks off when you gain life, causing Spider-Man, Peter Parker to place a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale; this counter placement immediately coaxes Basking Broodscale into spawning a 0/1 Eldrazi token. As that token enters the battlefield, Auriok Champion notices the newcomer and rewards you with 1 life, which in turn restarts Spider-Man, Peter Parker's life-gain trigger. Because the Eldrazi tokens can also be sacrificed for colorless mana, this self-sustaining loop spins out infinite creature tokens, counters, lifegain, and mana without ever needing to tap a single land.
