How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Magmaw into a lethal turret by using Conspiracy to rewrite the battlefield's creature types so that everything answers to Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator. With Conspiracy having declared Pirates as the chosen type, every permanent you sacrifice triggers Malcolm's ability to generate Treasures whenever your "Pirates" deal damage. The engine really accelerates once Exalted Sunborn doubles every Treasure token you create, ensuring you net more resources than Magmaw's activation requires. You simply sacrifice a Treasure to pay for Magmaw's ability, deal damage to an opponent, and repeat the process to blast the table out of the game.
