How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a simple sacrifice outlet into an unstoppable engine by rewriting creature types and token production across the board. Thanks to Leyline of Transformation, Magmaw and Stridehangar Automaton are treated as Pirates, meaning any damage dealt by Magmaw's ability will cause Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator to trigger and generate Treasure tokens. Meanwhile, Stridehangar Automaton does double duty: its static ability not only pumps your board, but its replacement effect ensures that every single Treasure creation is accompanied by an extra Thopter token. You can then sacrifice those generated tokens into Magmaw to fuel the entire cycle, turning your initial mana investment into an endless loop of damage, enters-the-battlefield events, and sacrifice triggers.
