How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating a 1/1 Frog creature token and a Treasure token.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop relies on Leyline of Transformation to paint Magmaw, Quina, Qu Gourmet, and Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator as Pirates, ensuring that every piece synergizes with the rest of the engine. Once the setup is complete, Magmaw feeds the loop by sacrificing a token to deal 1 damage to an opponent, which triggers Malcolm to flood the board with Treasure. Thanks to Quina, Qu Gourmet's replacement effect, that token creation is supercharged to also generate a 1/1 Frog alongside the Treasure, providing a steady supply of fodder to feed right back into Magmaw's sacrifice ability.
