How it works

1. Cast Basking Broodscale by paying 1.
2. When Basking Broodscale enters, Good-Fortune Unicorn triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
3. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
4. When the Eldrazi Spawn enters, Good-Fortune Unicorn triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on the Eldrazi Spawn.
5. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
6. When the Eldrazi Spawn dies, Reluctant Role Model's second ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
7. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop turns a simple +1/+1 counter into a self-sustaining engine of growth and sacrifice. With Good-Fortune Unicorn actively granting counters upon entry, Basking Broodscale drops onto the battlefield and immediately triggers its own ability to spawn an Eldrazi Spawn token. As that token arrives, the Unicorn feeds it a counter too, allowing you to sacrifice it for colorless mana; this death then triggers Reluctant Role Model to funnel a counter right back onto Basking Broodscale. By continuously recycling these triggers, you can generate infinite mana, enter-the-battlefield effects, and a massively pumped Basking Broodscale.
