How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Metalwork Colossus, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating two artifact tokens due to Elspeth, Storm Slayer.
3. Activate Metalwork Colossus by sacrificing the two artifact tokens, returning Metalwork Colossus from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Cast Metalwork Colossus by paying 0.
5. Repeat.

This vicious loop turns your own hoard against itself by using Goblin Bombardment to fling Metalwork Colossus at Smaug the Impenetrable, dealing the 1 noncombat damage needed to trigger the dragon's wrath. Because Elspeth, Storm Slayer doubles all token creation, taking a single point of damage yields two Treasure tokens instead of one. Those very same Treasures serve as the two sacrificed artifacts required to fuel Metalwork Colossus's recursion from the graveyard, and its massive mana value allows you to recast it for free using its native cost reduction.
