How it works

1. Activate Goblin Bombardment by sacrificing Metalwork Colossus, dealing 1 damage to Smaug.
2. Smaug triggers, creating two artifact tokens due to Bard.
3. Activate Metalwork Colossus by sacrificing the two artifact tokens, returning Metalwork Colossus from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Cast Metalwork Colossus by paying 0.
5. Repeat.

This delightfully greedy loop turns a dragon’s hoard into an infinite engine of destruction. By feeding Metalwork Colossus to Goblin Bombardment, you ping Smaug the Impenetrable for 1 noncombat damage, which triggers his wrath to generate Treasure tokens—doubled brilliantly by Bard, King of Dale's replacement effect. You then use those very tokens to pay the sacrifice cost required to return Metalwork Colossus straight from your graveyard to your hand. Because the massive mana value of your noncreature artifacts reduces the Colossus's casting cost to zero, you can recast it for free and repeat the cycle indefinitely.
