How it works

1. Activate Gyre Engineer by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Gyre Engineer.
3. Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This brilliant loop relies on Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to fundamentally transform the battlefield, turning your nontoken creatures into Forests alongside their normal types. Because Gyre Engineer and Scryb Ranger both become Forests, the Ranger can immediately satisfy its own activation cost by returning itself to your hand to untap the Engineer. Since Gyre Engineer taps to produce {G}{U}—more than enough to recast Scryb Ranger for {1}{G}—you are left with leftover blue mana each cycle while infinitely repeating the process.
