How it works
- Activate Cradle Clearcutter by tapping it, adding at least .
- Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Cradle Clearcutter.
- Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1.
- Repeat.
This clever loop turns your entire creature base into a self-sustaining mana engine. With Ashaya, Soul of the Wild on the battlefield turning all your nontoken creatures into Forest lands in addition to their other types, Cradle Clearcutter and even Scryb Ranger itself count as valid targets to fuel Scryb Ranger's ability. You simply tap Cradle Clearcutter for a massive surge of green mana, then bounce it to your hand by returning Scryb Ranger—or, thanks to Ashaya, by bouncing any of your other creature-Lands—to untap the Clearcutter. Recasting Scryb Ranger for just {1}{G} leaves you with extra green mana each iteration, creating an endless cycle of enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers that easily generate infinite mana, landfall, and storm count.
