How it works

  1. Activate Faeburrow Elder by tapping it, adding at least G manaW mana.
  2. Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Faeburrow Elder.
  3. Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1G mana.
  4. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns your creature lineup into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning heavily on Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, whose static ability turns every nontoken creature you control into a Forest land. This crucial land-type transformation allows Faeburrow Elder to effortlessly help fund the process, since its tap ability generates a windfall of colored mana while scaling in power alongside your board. To keep the gears turning, Scryb Ranger uses its activated ability to bounce itself to your hand by returning one of those "Forest" creatures—which can even be the Ranger itself—as a cost to untap Faeburrow Elder. You can then simply replay Scryb Ranger using a fraction of the floating mana and repeat the cycle to generate an endless cascade of mana, landfall triggers, and storm count.
