How it works

1. Activate Sage of the Maze by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Sage of the Maze.
3. Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns your entire creature base into a self-sustaining mana engine, fueled entirely by Ashaya, Soul of the Wild turning every nontoken creature you control into a Forest. Because Scryb Ranger can bounce *any* Forest you control to pay its activation cost, it can return itself to your hand as a land-bounce to untap Sage of the Maze, which easily refunds the mana to recast it with green energy left over. Meanwhile, Sage of the Maze doesn't just sit back—its tap ability provides the vital mana needed to repeat the cycle while effortlessly capitalizing on all those new Forest creatures.
