How it works

1. Activate Topiary Lecturer by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Topiary Lecturer.
3. Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1.
4. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple self-bouncing creature into an infinite engine by leveraging Ashaya, Soul of the Wild, which transforms every nontoken creature you control into a Forest land. Because of Ashaya's continuous typing, Scryb Ranger can use its activated ability to bounce *itself* back to your hand by returning itself as the required "Forest" to its owner's hand, while simultaneously untapping Topiary Lecturer. You can then recast Scryb Ranger using the green mana generated by Topiary Lecturer's tap ability, leaving you with extra mana each iteration due to Topiary Lecturer's high power.
