How it works

  1. Activate Overgrown Battlement by tapping it, adding at least G manaG mana.
  2. Activate Scryb Ranger by returning it from the battlefield to your hand, untapping Overgrown Battlement.
  3. Cast Scryb Ranger by paying 1G mana.
  4. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your battlefield into a self-sustaining mana engine by leaning on Ashaya, Soul of the Wild to transform all your nontoken creatures into Forests. This crucial type-change means Scryb Ranger can bounce *itself* back to your hand as its own cost, since it's now a Forest in addition to its other types. Once Scryb Ranger resets, you simply recast it and tap Overgrown Battlement—fueled by the growing number of defenders—to net extra green mana with each iteration.
