How it works
- Activate Anti-Venom using Deathbringer Thoctar's ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, targeting itself and putting two +1/+1 counters on it due to its replacement effect and The Earth Crystal.
- Activate Anti-Venom using Deathbringer Thoctar's ability by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, dealing 1 damage to any target.
- Repeat.
This clever loop turns Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer into a self-sustaining artillery piece by utilizing Agatha's Soul Cauldron to grant it Deathbringer Thoctar's activated ability. Once Deathbringer Thoctar is exiled inside Agatha's Soul Cauldron and Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer bears a +1/+1 counter, it gains the ability to shoot targets by removing its own counters. Meanwhile, The Earth Crystal doubles every counter placed on Anti-Venom, Horrifying Healer, ensuring that whenever you remove a counter to deal damage, you can immediately replace it with a net gain of counters to fuel the cycle. While The Earth Crystal also discounts green spells and helps manage your mana, it is its doubling replacement effect that breaks the math wide open, allowing you to ping your opponents an infinite number of times.
