How it works

1. Activate North Pole Patrol by tapping it, targeting Forensic Researcher.
2. North Pole Patrol triggers, causing you to loot.
3. Resolve the North Pole Patrol ability, untapping Forensic Researcher.
4. Activate Forensic Researcher by tapping it, targeting North Pole Patrol.
5. Forensic Researcher triggers, causing you to loot.
6. Resolve the Forensic Researcher ability, untapping North Pole Patrol.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop spins up infinitely thanks to the passive prowess of Unctus, Grand Metatect, whose static ability grants your blue creatures a loot trigger whenever they become tapped. By using Unctus's hybrid-mana ability, North Pole Patrol can be turned into a blue artifact creature, allowing its tap-to-untap ability to target Forensic Researcher. When Forensic Researcher untaps, its own tap-to-untap ability targets North Pole Patrol right back, creating a mutually sustaining cycle of tapping and untapping. Because both creatures are blue while the loop runs, every single tap feeds directly into Unctus, Grand Metatect to draw and discard your entire library at will.
