How it works

  1. Cast Chord of Calling by paying at most 3G manaG manaG mana, searching your library for Wormfang Drake and putting it onto the battlefield.
  2. When Wormfang Drake enters, it and Preston trigger.
  3. Resolve the Wormfang Drake trigger, exiling another creature if needed.
  4. Resolve the Preston trigger, creating a token copy of Wormfang Drake that is a 0/1 Illusion.
  5. When the Wormfang Drake token enters, it triggers, exiling the nontoken Wormfang Drake.
  6. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the Wormfang Drake token
  7. When the Wormfang Drake token dies, it triggers, returning Wormfang Drake from exile to the battlefield.
  8. Repeat from step 2.
