How it works

1. Activate Krark-Clan Ironworks by sacrificing the nontoken creature, adding CC.
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Cast the creature by paying its mana cost.
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on a brilliant synergy between battlefield, graveyard, and library that turns a single creature into an endless engine. With Krark-Clan Ironworks ready to sacrifice your assets for raw colorless mana, any creature you feed to it triggers Mortuary to quietly intercept the card on its way to the graveyard, placing it right back on top of your library. That is where The Lunar Whale comes in: its passive ability lets you peer at the top of your deck and play that very same creature again the moment the Whale has declared an attack that turn. By cycling the creature back and forth from the battlefield to the top of your library and back down again, you endlessly generate colorless mana alongside an infinite stream of sacrifice, death, and entry triggers.
