How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Elegant Edgecrafters.
2. When Elegant Edgecrafters dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Elegant Edgecrafters enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
5. Repeat.

By leveraging the front-side transforming ability of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight, your nontoken creatures gain persist, allowing Elegant Edgecrafters to continuously return from the graveyard with a -1/+1 counter whenever it is fed to Phantom Train. The loop sustains itself because Elegant Edgecrafters's own fabricate ability triggers upon its return, placing a +1/+1 counter on it to immediately cancel out the persist penalty and set up the next sacrifice.
