How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Elegant Edgecrafters.
2. When Elegant Edgecrafters dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
3. When Elegant Edgecrafters enters, its fabricate ability triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
4. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
5. Repeat.

This loop relies on Isilu, Carrier of Twilight—the transformed back side of Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn—to grant persist to Elegant Edgecrafters, letting it bounce back from the graveyard every time it dies. Because Elegant Edgecrafters features fabricate 2, its return to the battlefield triggers its entry ability anew, allowing it to generate a +1/+1 counter that immediately cancels out the -1/+1 counter from persist via state-based actions. This leaves the Edgecrafters clean and ready to be sacrificed all over again to Umbral Collar Zealot's ability. The result is an endless cycle of sacrifices that fuels infinite death triggers, enter-the-battlefield events, and repeated surveils to dig through your library.
