How it works

  1. Activate Overgrown Estate by sacrificing any land, causing you to gain 3 life.
  2. Repeat step 1 until you have at least six land cards in your graveyard, with one of those cards being a Swamp.
  3. Activate Aftermath Analyst by paying 3G mana and sacrificing it, returning all land cards from your graveyard to the battlefield untapped due to Spelunking.
  4. Activate any number of lands by tapping them, adding at least 3B manaB manaG mana.
  5. Activate Strands of Night by paying B manaB mana and 2 life and sacrificing a Swamp, returning Aftermath Analyst from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  6. When Aftermath Analyst enters, it triggers, causing you to mill three cards.
  7. Repeat.

This self-sustaining recycling loop turns your graveyard into a bottomless well of mana and life, fueled by the recursive engine of Strands of Night pulling Aftermath Analyst back to the battlefield. Because Spelunking ensures that your lands enter the battlefield untapped, you can easily tap your newly returned acreage to generate the exact mana needed to pay for Strands of Night's activation cost and life loss. Meanwhile, Overgrown Estate acts as your primary sacrifice outlet to funnel lands directly into the graveyard while cushioning your life total, setting the stage for Aftermath Analyst's mass resurrection ability to bring them all crashing back down together.
