Phantom Train

How it works

1. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing Tom, Bert, and William.
2. When Tom, Bert, and William die, they trigger, returning them from your graveyard to the battlefield as a noncreature artifact.
3. Because Tom, Bert, and William enter as a noncreature artifact, March of the Machines will then cause Tom, Bert, and William to be a 5/5 artifact creature.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the troll trio of Tom, Bert, and William into a self-sustaining sacrifice engine, fueled entirely by their own resurrection magic. Because Tom, Bert, and William naturally return to the battlefield as noncreature artifacts when they die, March of the Machines steps in to instantly give them a 5/5 body based on their mana value, turning them right back into a valid creature sacrifice fodder. You then feed that body into Phantom Train's ability—which grows the Train with a +1/+1 counter—and repeat the cycle for endless death triggers, artifact transformations, and a massive Phantom Train.
