How it works

  1. Activate Gwenna by tapping it, adding G manaG mana that can only be spent to cast creature spells or activate abilities of creatures.
  2. Cast Ghalta from the command zone by paying G manaG mana.
  3. Gwenna and Ascendant Packleader trigger.
  4. Resolve the Gwenna trigger, untapping it and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
  5. Resolve the Ascendant Packleader trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
  6. Resolve Ghalta. Then, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ghalta.
  7. Choose to return Ghalta to the command zone from your graveyard.
  8. Repeat.
