How it works

1. Cast Dark Sphere by paying its mana cost.
2. When Dark Sphere enters, Builder's Talent's second ability triggers.
3. Holding priority, activate Dark Sphere by tapping and sacrificing it.
4. Resolve the Builder's Talent trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness.
5. Evolution Witness triggers, returning Dark Sphere from your graveyard to your hand.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop spins entirely around the synergy between Evolution Witness and Builder's Talent, where every iteration of placing a counter triggers the creature to pluck a card from your graveyard. The missing link that makes this perpetual motion machine possible is Dark Sphere; by casting it to trigger Builder's Talent's level 2 ability, you can sacrifice Dark Sphere in response, only for the resulting counter to put Evolution Witness's trigger on the stack and fish Dark Sphere right back out of the graveyard into your hand. Because Dark Sphere costs a mere zero mana to cast, you can repeat this cycle endlessly to generate infinite storm count, artifact triggers, and arbitrarily large +1/+1 counters.
