How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing a creature
2. When the creature dies, Mortuary triggers, putting the creature from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
4. Cast the creature from the top of your library by paying X life, where X is the creature's mana value.
5. Aetherflux Reservoir triggers, causing you to gain 1 life for each spell you've cast this turn.
6. Repeat.

This loop turns a simple creature sacrifice into an infinite storm of life and death, fueled entirely by the top of your library. When you sacrifice a creature to Altar of Dementia, Mortuary steps in to instantly rescue it from the graveyard and place it right back onto your library. Gwenom, Remorseless grants you the crucial permission to play that creature directly off the top of your deck, replacing its mana cost with a life payment that Aetherflux Reservoir effortlessly offsets by rapidly climbing your storm count and padding your life total. As you repeat this cycle, Aetherflux Reservoir can finally unleash a lethal 50 damage to any target while Altar of Dementia simultaneously mills out your opponents.
