How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Michelangelo.
2. When Michelangelo dies, it and Deathrender trigger.
3. Resolve the Michelangelo trigger, returning it from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting Michelangelo from your hand onto the battlefield and attaching Deathrender to it.
5. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
6. Repeat.

This loop turns Michelangelo, On the Scene into an endlessly recurring threat by leveraging Deathrender's ability to cheat it right back onto the battlefield whenever it dies. Since Michelangelo naturally enters with a +1/+1 counter for each land you control—and automatically bounces back to your hand upon dying—it provides the perfect fuel for Umbral Collar Zealot to sacrifice on command. By cycling Michelangelo back and forth between the battlefield and your hand this way, Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice outlet lets you endlessly surveil your library while generating an infinite storm of leaves-the-battlefield, enters-the-battlefield, and death triggers.
