How it works

1. Activate Myr Scrapling by sacrificing it.
2. When Myr Scrapling dies, Mortuary and Embalmed Ascendant trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Myr Scrapling from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Embalmed Ascendant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Myr Scrapling ability.
6. Cast Myr Scrapling from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This delightfully morbid loop relies on Embalmed Ascendant's max speed ability to turn every death into a life swing, draining your opponents while you keep the engine running. You sacrifice Myr Scrapling to pump up your board, which conveniently triggers Mortuary to tuck the little automaton right back onto the top of your library. Thanks to Gwenom, Remorseless, you can peer into the future and continuously recast Myr Scrapling from the top of your deck, paying life instead of mana to fuel the recursion endlessly.
