How it works
- Activate Astral Cornucopia by tapping it, adding three mana of any color.
- Activate Candelabra of Tawnos by paying 2 and tapping it, untapping Astral Cornucopia and Candelabra of Tawnos as they are lands due to Toph.
- Repeat.
By utilizing Toph, the First Metalbender's passive alchemy, every nontoken artifact you control simultaneously transforms into a land while retaining its original artifact nature. This clever rules interaction allows Candelabra of Tawnos to target and untap itself along with Astral Cornucopia, as both are now rightfully recognized as lands by the game rules. You simply tap Astral Cornucopia for a surge of mana, pay into Candelabra of Tawnos to untap them both, and repeat the loop to generate boundless colored mana.
