How it works
- Activate Five Hundred Year Diary by tapping it, adding at least .
- Activate Candelabra of Tawnos by paying 2 and tapping it, untapping Five Hundred Year Diary and Candelabra of Tawnos as they are lands due to Toph.
- Repeat.
This brilliant loop turns your noncreature artifacts into a massive, self-sustaining mana engine. Because Toph, the First Metalbender turns all your nontoken artifacts into lands, Candelabra of Tawnos and Five Hundred Year Diary both count as lands themselves, allowing the Candelabra to target and untap them both. You tap Five Hundred Year Diary to generate blue mana, then funnel that mana into Candelabra of Tawnos to untap everything and repeat the process for infinite blue mana.
