How it works

1. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Karmic Guide.
2. When Karmic Guide dies, Cruel Celebrant triggers, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
3. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
4. Activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Junji.
5. When Junji dies, it and Cruel Celebrant trigger.
6. Resolve the Cruel Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
7. Resolve the Junji trigger, returning Karmic Guide from your graveyard to the battlefield and causing you to lose 2 life.
8. When Karmic Guide enters, it triggers, returning Junji from your graveyard to the battlefield.
9. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability.
10. Repeat.

This loop is a masterclass in recycling, fueled by Bartolomé del Presidio's ability to repeatedly sacrifice your own creatures to grow larger while leveraging the death triggers of Cruel Celebrant to drain your opponents out of the game. When you feed Junji, the Midnight Sky to the altar, its death trigger lets you pull Karmic Guide straight out of the graveyard; in turn, Karmic Guide's entry trigger immediately brings Junji right back. Because Junji is not a Dragon in the graveyard—relying instead on its creature types dynamically—this endless exchange creates an unbreakable loop that continuously triggers Cruel Celebrant and grows Bartolomé del Presidio into a massive threat.
