How it works

1. Activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it.
2. When Blood Pet dies, Mortuary and Cruel Celebrant trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Blood Pet from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Cruel Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Cast Blood Pet from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms a humble Blood Pet into an engine of endless attrition by turning your graveyard into a top-deck extension of your hand. When you sacrifice Blood Pet for mana, Mortuary catches it on its way to the graveyard and neatly places it right back on top of your library. Meanwhile, Gwenom, Remorseless lets you ignore the mana cost entirely by paying life instead, seamlessly feeding the creature back onto the battlefield to fuel the cycle. Cruel Celebrant watches the carnage unfold, draining your opponents' life totals and padding your own to easily offset the life you spend casting Blood Pet over and over again.
