How it works

1. Activate Fanatical Firebrand by tapping and sacrificing it.
2. When Fanatical Firebrand dies, Mortuary and Cruel Celebrant trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Fanatical Firebrand from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Cruel Celebrant trigger, causing you to gain 1 life and each opponent to lose 1 life.
5. Resolve the Fanatical Firebrand ability.
6. Cast Fanatical Firebrand from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a humble goblin into a lethal engine of attrition by bypassing traditional mana costs altogether. With Gwenom, Remorseless in play, its attack trigger grants you the ability to cast spells directly from the top of your library by paying life equal to their mana value instead of mana. You begin by tapping and sacrificing Fanatical Firebrand to its own ability, which triggers Cruel Celebrant to drain your opponents while simultaneously sending the Goblin to the graveyard. This death triggers Mortuary, immediately placing Fanatical Firebrand back onto the top of your library where Gwenom allows you to recast it for a mere 1 life. Repeating this sequence endlessly lets you churn through your deck for infinite damage, life gain, and death triggers.
