How it works

1. Activate Detective's Satchel by tapping it, creating a 1/1 Thopter artifact creature token.
2. Activate Phantom Train by sacrificing the Thopter.
3. When the Thopter dies, Dross Scorpion triggers, untapping Detective's Satchel.
4. Resolve the Phantom Train ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever engine turns the humble Detective's Satchel into a relentless factory by leveraging its ability to produce a Thopter artifact creature token, which you then feed directly into Phantom Train's sacrifice cost to grow it and animate it. Every time that Thopter hits the graveyard, Dross Scorpion's triggered ability steps in to untap the Detective's Satchel, resetting your tap-ability so you can spin the loop again. Because Phantom Train accepts any artifact as fodder, the Thopters you generate fuel their own demise, creating a closed loop that floods the board with endless artifact sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and a growing menacing locomotive.
