How it works

1. Cause Selvala to become an artifact using Liquimetal Torque.
2. Activate Selvala by tapping it, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Selvala.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on transforming Selvala, Eager Trailblazer into an artifact creature using Liquimetal Torque's second ability, turning her into a valid target for Voltaic Construct. Once she's an artifact, tapping Selvala for mana generates enough energy to fund the {2} activation cost of Voltaic Construct, which immediately untaps her so the process can begin anew. Selvala, Eager Trailblazer acts as the engine's power source, while Liquimetal Torque provides the vital type-changing glue that lets Voltaic Construct interact with a normally non-artifact commander.
